Make use of government technology grants and other research grants to fund future development of your business and/or organization. It is because of federal government grants for research and development that man has walked on the moon, (allegedly) has sent rover vehicles to the planet Mars, and has helped us understand better the evolution of life on this planet. It hasn’t quite got us to the point where we have transporter technology, warp drive propulsion systems or clear aluminum as the Star trek franchise alludes to.
However, who is to say that those breakthroughs cannot be achieved at some point in the future, partially funded by government grants for R & D. a little over one hundred years ago there was no powered flight, and as for making Skype calls via a fiber link fast internet connection; well that was still in the realms of science fiction a mere fifteen years ago.
