For an Italian, French and Chinese Restaurant Jersey Has an Eclectic mix of Amazing Eateries

For an Italian, Chinese or French restaurant Jersey has an eclectic mix of eateries; simple diners, Italian pizzerias, Chinese restaurants, French alfresco and traditional British fish and chip shops as well as luxury five star dining, all within the confines of St Helier and the wider Jersey.

With its warm and mild climate much in contrast to its northerly geographic position in the English Channel, the restaurant Jersey tradition has been one of alfresco dining much in keeping with its close neighbor France, and yet Jersey is a British dependency and has been for the past 900 years or so and certainly there is not a tradition of alfresco eating there.

Rather the attitude to eating out and certainly eating alfresco in the UK as a whole is a recent trend, probably attributable to holidaymakers returning from warmer climes; not so Jersey.

The basic restaurant Jersey mix is one of relaxed and informal eating styles sitting comfortable alongside a more refined dining experience in some of the more up market hotels, restaurants and country clubs that are dotted around St Helier, St Brelade and Trinity to mention a few; however there are some really neat places to eat in some of the most out of the way places, many hidden down quiet country lanes making the adventure of finding them that much more rewarding at journey’s end.

In St Helier the capital and St Brelade in particular there are numerous restaurants hidden down quaint side streets, some not resembling a restaurant at all; ask the locals where their favorite restaurant is and they may be bribed into letting the secret out, but if they don’t, be adventurous and try as many as possible before leaving.

Tourism in Jersey has always been popular with regular scheduled flights coming in from the UK, France, Poland, and Italy, Austria and Germany and regular ferry connections from mainland France and the southern ports of England.

A long history fish restaurant Jersey tradition is inevitable given an island economy and the many fishing boats in and around the harbor at St Helier is evidence of this.
Jersey is a haven for tourists looking for adventure; cycling, walking and hiking combines with more traditional water based pastimes and sports which include sailing, kayaking, canoeing and water skiing amongst others.

What better way to work up an appetite ready to savour some fine cuisine in one of the many restaurant Jersey has to offer?
