Decompression Sickness – The Curious Case of the Bends

Decompression Sickness, the curious case of the bends is so called because when it was first encountered back in the nineteenth century, workers leaving a pressurized working area would be doubled up and bent over with chronic pain and curiously unrelated symptoms, now common knowledge among the diving fraternity and in industries where the workforce are exposed to pressurized environments.
Now it is easily remedied, but back then there were many deaths associated with these new phenomena; however nowadays the cause is known, the cures are available and preparedness negates any chance of serious internal injury or worse, death occurring.
Don’t become victims, don’t allow yourself to be bent over double, seek out specialist training from diving courses London diver’s emergency services before it is too late.
