Aluminum ladders aren’t a stairway to heaven, merely an access medium to work – but of course you all knew that without me telling you.
Complete with tools in hand a ladder shouldn’t be used as a work platform and always should be either tethered to the structure or someone should stand at the bottom to ensure the ladder does not move away from the building or structure being worked on.
If the job is a one man job and access is not possible or difficult by a ladder, a man lift works wonders and is an efficient alternative. There are many alternatives available and many solutions for accessing working areas at height but the simple and most affective is a basic ladder.
