The invention of the cell phone has been a wonderful thing, presenting the ability and power of more than a handful of independent devices of ages past into a single compact solution. As multipurpose and ubiquitous as these cell phones and, more recently, smartphones have become, there are times when on simply requires a stationary intercom system or two way chat installed on site. Though obtaining and installing such an intercom setup has been more difficult and expensive than many desire in the past, new technological developments and online distributors have simplified the process significantly through wireless connections, while the goods needed to set one up are cheap and easy to get hold of.
