Elements of rainwater harvesting systems
Today, when there is immense need of using resources efficiently, rainwater harvesting comes as one of the most reasonable options to solve issues related to water shortage in both industrial as well as domestic scale. In simple terms the process of rainwater harvesting is all about collecting rainwater in any storage tank. However, today owing to great advancements the rainwater harvesting systems have become more efficient through various additional elements added to them like vessels, pumps, filters etc. The initial point of these systems is called as the water catch area or surface where the water is gathered. There are also channels facilitating the transportation of water from the catching surface or area to the storage tank. Besides, there are also filters to purify the dirt particles present in rainwater along with pumps and vessels which are used to keep the rainwater pressurized. And lastly, the systems are outfitted with a piping system so as to transport the clean water for consumption.
