Damart recently became a member of the BRC, otherwise known as the British Retail Consortium and is an element of the continued success and increasing expansion of the non-store retailing arm of a company which is still going strong after fifty years of trading. Many companies are victims to takeover, modernisation or indeed their own success – not so Damart.
Damart is primarily a mail order shopping business, although it has three stores in the UK; its core business has been catalogue retailing since its inception, although in recent years it has started reaching a wider clientele by virtue of its presence on the internet.
The hallmark of a truly well run and organised company is its ability to embrace new sales techniques and use the technology and resources at its disposal to best effect. And it appears on this score, the company I doing rather well, and certainly a lot better than many of its competitors
