The concept of Stakeholder Engagement
Stakeholder Engagement is a process with the help of which an organization takes inputs from the stakeholders and thereby includes their concerns in the decision making process. Thus, in this way they involve people who get affected by their decisions or may influence their resolutions. The stakeholders include customers, employees, investors and many others who are involved in the business directly or indirectly. Further, the stakeholders stand in the support of the various decisions taken by the organization or may even oppose them. No decisions are taken before Stakeholder Engagement. Moreover, this entire process is extremely advantageous as it leads to sustainable development.
