Classic plays a hit with 19TH century entertainment news UK

Classic plays were popular in 19th century in UK. Famous plays which have hit the entertainment news UK in that era were those of Oscar Wilde’s like the ‘The importance of being earnest’ and one from George Bernard Shaw’s ‘Candita’. Great play writers came up with great works in theatre in the later years of the 19th century. The writers that were active during that century were Charles dickens whose classics were Oliver twist, a tale of two cities and great expectations. Other writers like Arthur Conan Boyle came up with ‘Sherlock Holmes’; Rudyard Kipling gave us ‘Young Mowgli’ and Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘strange case of doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’. Therefore 19th century was the century of writers in UK.
