Forget lighting up the sky with fireworks and rockets; take to the air with a gentler and less destructive firework of sorts in the form of sky lanterns, a relatively new phenomenon over the skies of the UK but an ancient and long held tradition of the Chinese.
These amazing little lanterns ride the sky for much longer than conventional fireworks and are completely biodegradable and therefore are not dangerous to wildlife or the environment as a whole.
