Socially responsible investing schemes

Social investing is becoming very common these days and that leaves many of us to find out what is socially responsible investing in actual sense? This kind of investment may be defined as the strategic investment where the investor is not only concerned about the profits he wishes to earn on his investment but also about some of the social causes associated with it. The risk factor associated with the social investment is much higher as compared to the conventional investment mechanisms but it leads to a great social impact even if the investor is not able to get his investing amount back. The socially responsible investment is made by the investors to earn profits for themselves and also for the social causes linked to their investment criteria.
